SYNOPSIS

In this documentary film two extreme female skiers and siblings from Melbourne Australia, set out to face some of their deepest fears to better understand this crippling emotion and uncover their full potential.

As young women who have traded conventional career paths to compete in extreme sports, these sisters have constantly been challenged by fear. While they face dangerous situations on both a physiological and emotional level, they deal with these obstacles differently. Nat calculates her actions, avoiding risk wherever possible, whereas Anna confronts her fears head-on without always weighing up the consequences. Yet, both approaches have resulted in major setbacks. Recently they have found they need to work together to overcome these mental obstacles.

As the girls prepare for the ultimate ski trip to Alaska; the mecca of extreme skiing, they seek out the experience and knowledge of scientific experts, performance coaches and other elite athletes. In the Alaskan mountains, where high consequences ski lines test even the best in the world, fear and doubt can be a fatal combination.

With greater insight they negotiate the fine balance between staying in their comfort zone and taking too much risk. With the stunning mountains from Australia, Canada, France and Alaska as their backdrop, Finding The Line will decipher fear and its hold over us; educating the sisters and the audience on how to conquer both their extreme and everyday fears.
